Random things keep happening...

ok so I basically formatted my computer again loaded up slackware and the most random things keep happening. Firefox closes randomly. A program gxine KEEPS opening OMG like a billion copies I keep having to close them. like every single second. so its to the point where I am just waiting for it to stack to like 10 times.. then I close it. Also the sound driver.. I went through the setup alsaconf I check the alsamixer and still could not get the sound to work it seemed like it should work but there was no sound. I must have went through all the possible choices... Also the screen resolution is werid. It appears fine.. but every program I open seems huge.. like taking up the whole screen.

Have you tried testing your memory?

Could be any issue with your computer.

Agreed. I had very weird issues with one of my Slackware boxes; a bad stick of RAM was the culprit. Bad RAM may be your problem.
