Quick question about mount and user rights

If I try to play a music cd using grip, kscd etc. it won't allow me to play it stating I don't have the right or there isn't a cd. In my /etc/fstab I have my /dev/cdrom set to users, but that doesn' help. I can mount and umount but still it won't play. The only way it does work is if I su and then open up grip.

I know there is a way to get it working. Just need a little help.
