not out of the box, you'll need to install a third-party tool like slapt-get or swaret if you want apt-get-style abilities:

keeping slackware up to date without any special tools is easy... updated packages are in the "patches" directory:
ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackwar...ches/packages/
basically, you just download the patch you need, and then run:
upgradepkg example.tgz
you can update your entire slackware installation by downloading all the patches to a local directory and doing a:
upgradepkg *.tgz
when you do this, slackware will only update the packages that are currently installed...
