Quick q about xorg.conf and gfx card

Hi,

I installed Slackware 10 and X starts okay, however I looked at xorg.conf and its just got the basic

Identifier: VESA Framebuffer
Driver: vesa

I have a GeForce 2 MX on this system though. What do I need to change these to so X can take advantage of what little acceleration my GF2 provides?

Thanks

you can set up via xorgconfig, but it only supports 2d. 3d support is from nvidia driver.

First, you need to follow the link provided by newinlinux and download the driver. Then, follow the instructions provided on the website to install it.
Last, but not least, follow these instrustions by Grogan.
The instructions are for XFree86 and you're running X11R6 from X.org but the only difference will be the command to call the program. The article calls for xf86config but you'll need to use xorgconfig. Everything else will be the same.
