quick kde question,

I currently using KDE 3.5.4 and i want to upgrade to 3.5.5 (slackware 11) if I do that via the "installpkg <kdepackage>.tgz" will it screw up my settings for my desktop,themes and everything else or will it stay the same?

Sorry for sounding so newbieish, I just don't want to loose all my settings again :/

It will not scrap your settings as the kde 3.5.5 is a bug-fixing release. It won't affect your settings which are saved in your $HOME/.kde directory.

You can safely upgrade using the command provided by willysr in the previous post.
