Question /etc/modprobe.d/ files aliases

Originally I had a question about how to name files in /etc/modprobe.d. It seems that providing the lines are there in some file or another it doesn't matter. Please correct me if I am wrong.

The url below provides a useful explanation and further links to udev that may be helpful to anyone seeking more information. If you are a novice like me and the concepts are at times confusing, then this may be informative.

Thanks Old_Fogie for steering me in the right direction. You may have unsubscribed by now, but thanks anyway.

I have deleted the following posts because they really didn't contain anything of value, being more of a blog. My apologies to the Moderators.

Next time, don't delete all your posts. The line of reasoning could have helped someone else!
