Questions
1. I upgraded all my system software using Swaret, everything went fine except 2 important things. GLIBC 2.3.1 didnt upgrade nor did KDE 3.1.2. Why is it that every other piece of software went fine including the kernel upgrade and what can I do to make the upgrades be detected?
2. I have dual processors, and Im not sure if its detecting both procs, is there a way I can tell? 3. Anyone know where you can find working ATI drivers for a Radeon 9000 Pro. It tells me that my Kernel version is incompatible with the drivers...? |
2) Default kernel is for one processor only. You need to compile your own, with multiprocessor support.

2) IIRC you may need to recompile to enable SMP ... but I'm not sure if that's still an issue. Poke around in /proc for help to that one
Edit: Mara the fast one on the post ;) |
I dont think you can upgrade your glibc w/o upgrading every other package on your system. I dont know why KDE didn't update though.
