Question about package mgmt

Hi,

Does anyone know if there is an equivalent to:

rpm -qa | grep somePackage

in slackware? It would be nice to easily query which packages are installed on the system!

thanks

Run pkgtool in a console as root.

thanks, that works but do I have to view the entire list? I can't filter out the packages I want to see in any way?

Maybe use grep or if you use KDE, try kpackage
Code:
grep somePackage /var/log/packages/*
