Question about installing GRUB
 

I happened to come accross a GRUB Slackware package, found here, and I was wondering if anyone has used this package before. This will be done in Slackware 10, and I think the package was made for 9.1. Will that make a difference in how it gets installed? Also, should I uninstall LILO first before installing GRUB? Thanks for the help.

i admit that i haven't installed grub for slackware (i use grub already installed in mandrake), but i see no reason for it not to install in slack 10. and you don't have to uninstall lilo first.

I sucessfully installed GRUB with Slackware 9.1, but I did not use the packages but build it from source. The Grub Multiboot Howto helped me a lot when I first installed GRUB....

I installed Grub 0.94 with an official redhat source rpm package, I built it and install it with the rpm tools provided by the rpm slackware package.

I installed grub from www.linuxpackages.net and is working fine on me.
