Qt Creator in 64Current - Paths

I have installed Qt Creator (The binary from the Qt Creator homepage) which contains updated Qt 4.7.0 libs.

Obviously Slackware has older Qt binaries and libs (qmake etc) in the path already. What is the best course of action here?

Should I uninstall the older Qt? Add new paths or what?

The Qt option page complains about older qmake.

Thank you

There is a Qt-creator Slackbuild, but it is for version 1.3.1. But that version only requires Qt 4.6, which comes with Slackware 13.1 by default. This is the easy way of installing.

If you really want the newest version of Qt Creator, then you will have to compile Qt 4.7. Here's a recent thread which discusses compiling Qt: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...rowser-843901/
