Ok, got everything fixed now. Did a rebuild of the python pakagers and removed python3 completely. Idk if this fixed it or the fact I also upgraded my xming and changed some setting there, but whatever the case I have spice fully working and VNC. <- Happy camper!

Hi!

I came here from google. I was searching how to get rid of this message: "usb redirection support not compiled in".

I solved by recompiling qemu with --enable-spice and --enable-usb-redir *AND* recompiling spice-gtk with --enable-usb-redir .

I am posting this reply here, just in case...

Thanks!

Slackware LIBUSB

Hello there,

Slackware's libusb is the problem. Slackware's libusb is too old.
First install usbredir fro Slackbuilds.org. Then google for libusb-1.0.19.tar.xz, and place it in the qemu slackbuild directory with the qemu source package.
And run 'LIBUSB=yes ./qemu.SlackBuild'. Then install the resulting package which will be placed in /tmp, with installpkg.

Good luck

This is pretty much what the SlackBuild for qemu already does.
