Python package to SlackBuild tool ?

Hi,

I'm looking for a tool or helper which automatically converts python package to a Slackware package or to a SlackBuild ideally. I'm before a task to install lot of python packages not available in stock Slackware or at SlackBuilds.org .

There are gem2tgz for Ruby gems and hslackbuilder for Haskell's GHC packages, just miss something similar for Python.

Can somebody point to some existing code or am I on my own here ?

I know it does not answer your question but would it not be better to use python virtual environments and pip for installing packages within each environment?

In common cases like web app deployment the virtualenv is a good way, however in this case system installation of python packages is required. Direct installation and bypassing Slackware's packaging system is not an option from obvious reasons.

src2pkg will create packages from python module/lib sources.
