pulse audio volume defaults


Slackware 14.2: How do I set pulse audio default volume levels for user & system?

I'm not the best with the Pulse Audio Setting but this might help-

Issue with volume levels not being remembered and resetting to 100%:
+ Make sure 'flat-volumes = no' in /etc/pulse/daemon.conf
+ Go into System Settings / Application and System Notifications / Manage Notifications and then select the player settings tab. Set to anything less than 100% (60-70%).

Having set to 100% overrides pavucontrol user settings.

FYI:I haven't used alsa or alsa config files on my 14.2 system.
