PTS In Slackware 13.1?

Has any body installed PTS in Slack 13.1?

http://www.phoronix-test-suite.com/?k=home

I have it almost there but ran across some bumps for example as per this instructions I need cairo...

http://slackblogs.blogspot.com/2010/...est-suite.html

I try to install cairo but I am unable since I can not get php5-devel nowhere for slack 13.1...

Any Ideas?

TIA!

I do not know about PTS, but I don't think php5-devel would apply to Slackware.

'devel' packages are usually the libs for building other apps against in other distros. But as afar as I know, those are not a separate package for anything on Slackware - they should be there.

[EDIT]And if I am not mistaken, you should have cairo if you did a full install.[/EDIT]

Thanks for your reply!

I get this when compiling php-gtk

error: cairo php extension not found

willysr 01-07-2011 08:29 PM

warning: php-gtk is not compatible with PHP as of now (except if you use PHP 5.2.x), so if you enable php-gtk, your PHP installation will be broken :(

you will need to rebuilt your PHP SlackBuild to enable Cairo or else, it will not be enabled by default.
As stated in my blog, i compiled my own PHP from source and not using Slackware's PHP package

You can try to build it using this article: http://php-gtk.eu/en/how-to-php-53-w...n-linux-mint-9

Thanks willysr! I was just about to post a reply refering to your blog link above - and recommending you as a good source of advice!

I have not used the PHP cairo extension but it did not look too difficult, look here as a starting place.

As I am not experienced with this I will defer specific advice to willysr if he is willing.

Cairo is still in Beta phase as of today, so it's not actually stable enough in PECL. I don't think it's still maintained though. The last beta was dated back in 2010-02-03. Almost 11 months ago

ooo one more question willysr...

Did you had to download all of your dependencies manually for your test/suites?

TIA!
