Pronlem with keyboard layout and with booting
the problem is that during the install on slackware i kinda chose a wrong layout for my keyboard(US) but i need a different one(es as in estonian) i searched all the control panels and didnt find anyway to change the keyboard layout, so heres the question
to i have to download smth to get my layout !? if so, then what !? the other problem is with booting slackware, when the BIOS part is over(detect of IDE and cdrom) then lilo should start(during the install i installed it) but the only thing that happens is that GRUB only text gomes up and slackware dosent boot up, so i need to know how can i fix this problem !? |
you should be able to change you keyboard layout with the /etc/rc.c/rc.keymaps script
you should be able to find keyboard layouts in /usr/share/kbd/keymaps when you find the one your are looking for edit rc.keymaps. I believe you don't have to include the path or the .gz postfix Hope this is a help in the right direction!? |
