progress bar in bootsplash

hi all
i patched my kernel to show some bootsplash (bootsplash.org), actually it worked great. but in silent mode I can't get to work the progress bar. I tried many themes and all the progress bars are static. Then I read some docs in bootsplash.org . now I know that I should do something with some init scripts but I can't understand what to do exactly...so if anyone else did it, can she/he share his/her exp.

thanks everyone

Just download the bootsplash pkg at LP.net.
Included are examples of all the scripts you need to change.

I did that, I have all the scripts and utilities that I need but it doesn't work. Should I set something manually?

I did everything as outlined in the doc pages included in that slackpkg that you got from LP.net and it worked perfectly. There are a number of scripts that you have to edit manually to get the progress bar to work at both startup and shutdown, and they are each documented in the slackpkg. There is another script (rc.bootsplash) that you will need to place on your system and make executable, and still a number of files that go in your /sbin directory. These are all placed when the package is installed.
