Hey guys I am running Slack and just upgraded the Kernel to 2.6. I thought all went well but when i rebooted my network card is not detected nor is my sound card. My question is how do i re-install them both?

You needed to have included support for your network and sound card either as modules, or built into the kernel when you built your 2.6 kernel. If you didn't do that you will have to re-compile the kernel with the support added. What kind of network card/sound card do you have? I'll point you to the right place as soon as you tell me that.
