S_Warlock, as I have the same problem, would you be so kind to explain, what have you actually done to make K3b work?
Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem with 2.6.3 but i don't have scsi emulation built in or as a module...
And I tried to compile the kernel twice, one with scsi emulation but nothing...

I just removed the scsi emulation from the kernel and compiled the kernel.

then I changes this line in lilo.conf
append="hdc=ide-scsi"
changed it to
append="hdx=ide-scsi"

Good luck

=)
