Problems with Compaq Proliant 1000

Hello all, i'm a slackware newbie, but i wanted to install it on an onld server i have here: 66Mhz , 486DX/2 , scsi controller (n53710).
I did the floppy images ( the correct ones i think) and when i boot up, i add the parameter: ramdisk sim710=addr:0x8000,15 that controller is on slot 8 irq15, while the kernel loads i still get errors.. anyone can help me ?
Im going insane with that old fridge... thanks a lot!

Actually i solved that problem, simply using ramdisk sim710=addr:0x8000,irq:15 , but now i still have problems loading the root disk, i did an image of color.gz , which i found on slackware8.0 cdrom, everytime i make one, i get:
dd if=color.gz of=/dev/fd0
dd: /dev/fd0: Invalid Argument
2605+1 records in
2605+0 records out
i tryied with at least 10 floppys..
on this workstation i use freebsd 4.7
