Problems with Alsa (I think) (14.1 x64, kernel 3.13.0)

If you are using the open source radeon driver you need to add: "radeon.audio=1" to your append line to enable audio.

I'm using kernel 3.13.0 and have already done that.

So figured out what I did last time, and apparently it was absolutely nothing. For whatever reason, alsamixer seems to be all sorts of screwed up and aplay and some other programs don't play sound properly, but the sound works with XBMC.
