First of all you need to point lilo to the installed kernel (that came with proper kernel modules).

You might want to boot huge kernel before getting to make an initrd image in order to boot generic kernel.

What gives the 2 following commands?
ls /boot
cat /etc/lilo.conf
I do not use lilo, I use Elilo. I dont have the lilo.conf file. Could be this the problem? But, if I install lilo i could not boot with my enabled UEFI , isn't? In the instalation of slackware he aasked me of skip the instalation of lilo and install elilo instead.
I tried now to upgrade my kernel by the ' slackpkg upgrade kernel ', but the same problem persist: after upgrade, the system enter in the reboot loop

I like the ideology of slack, the black screen at start... but, its that, slack doesnt work in my laptop?

Hi.

I don't use elilo, but as far as I know, after a kernel upgrade, you upgrade the loader, I assume that is almost like liloconfig just with an e before, try eliloconfig in the console after the upgrade. Hope this helps.

After you upgrade the kernel, you *need* to update the bootloader. slackpkg doesn't do this automatically (by design). In your case, since you're using elilo, you should need to simply run eliloconfig as animeresistance guessed.

When you upgrade the kernel packages, it only updates the files in /boot/. elilo requires the files to be in the EFI partition, which is normally mounted to /boot/efi/. Within the EFI partition, there should be an EFI/Slackware/ folder, which contains elilo.conf and the required boot files, including the kernel. If you fail to run eliloconfig (or manually copy the kernel image and update elilo.conf, your system will still contain the older kernel and try and boot that one. And you run into problems because the old kernel modules were removed when you upgraded them to the newer kernel-modules package.

Long story short, once you upgrade a kernel, whether through slackpkg or using upgradepkg manually, you need to update the bootloader, and in this case, the easiest way is running eliloconfig as root.
