problem with touchpad

I was using ubuntu on my main latop but I broke it and decide to go with slackware (just like my others boxes ) and now I'm having a hard time with the scroll line in the touchpad.

I did a research and I added a line on xorg.conf

Options "ZAxisMapping" "4 5"

it was working using the default kernel 2.4.31 but after I booted on 2.6.17.7 it did not work anymore (I used a diferent .config file)

the Protocol is set to 'Auto' -- does not work with 'ImPS/2' either

so my guess is that I'm missing something on the kernel... any ideas?

Wink ExplorerPS/2

Hi

Try "ExplorerPS/2" as the protocol.

Greetings.

by the way

... you need to specify a flag, something like

proto=explorer

when you load the module for your touchpad.

modprobe ps2 proto=explorer

don't remember if it's proto=explorer or proto=explorerps2 but I do think it's just explorer.

Greetings.
