problem with software


hi
i had downloaded slackware 12
i want to install a program
it contains : makefile and name.c
i wrote
#make install
but it said that the config.h isn't found
i installed it on slackware 10.2
and it worked
now i am afraid that it may not work because of the kernel is 2.6 and the program is designed for 2.4 kernel
can any body help

Did you install the kernel headers package.

i don't know how to check if they are installed or not?

ls /var/log/packages/*headers*

i did what u said the o/p was
/var/log/packages/kernel-headers 2.6.2.5 -smd.i386
then what shall i do now!!!!

Maybe there is a 'configure' script which needs to be run first.
