OK, something similar: I install lua, then install ion3. Lua shows in kpackage, but ion3 (or ion) does not. Xwmconfig does not show ion3. However, I still get the following from the "install" of ion3:

Code:
.....
usr/lib/ion3/lc/ioncore_bindings.lc
usr/lib/ion3/lc/ioncore_winprops.lc
usr/lib/ion3/lc/ioncore_misc.lc
usr/lib/ion3/lc/ioncore_tabnum.lc
usr/lib/ion3/lc/ioncore_luaext.lc
usr/lib/ion3/lc/mod_sp.lc
usr/lib/ion3/lc/mod_menu.lc
usr/lib/ion3/lc/ioncore_menudb.lc
usr/lib/ion3/lc/ioncore_ext.lc
usr/lib/ion3/bin/
usr/lib/ion3/bin/ion-completefile
usr/lib/ion3/bin/ion-statusd
usr/doc/
usr/doc/ion-3_20080207/
usr/doc/ion-3_20080207/README
usr/doc/ion-3_20080207/RELNOTES
usr/doc/ion-3_20080207/ChangeLog
usr/doc/ion-3_20080207/LICENSE
usr/doc/ion-3_20080207/ion.SlackBuild

Gzipping ion-3_20080207-i486-1_SBo.tar...

Renaming ion-3_20080207-i486-1_SBo.tar.gz to ion-3_20080207-i486-1_SBo.tgz...

Moving ion-3_20080207-i486-1_SBo.tgz to /tmp...

Package creation complete.

bash-3.1#
Did it actually install? If it did, where is it?

Slackbuilds scripts from slackbuilds.org create a package and put it in the /tmp directory. I this case:

ion-3_20080207-i486-1_SBo.tgz

To install the package, go to /tmp, su to root, and either run pkgtool -> install package from current directory

or

installpkg ion-3_20080207-i486-1_SBo.tgz

or

upgradepkg --install-new ion-3_20080207-i486-1_SBo.tgz

I never use kpackage.

All installed packages are listed as text files in /var/log/packages, so you don't need any special commands to see what is installed.
