problem with libffi in slackware-current
Hi, all
I just upgraded my slackware to current, but when I run gimp/thunar or other Gtk based applications, I got the error as: gimp: error while loading shared libraries: libffi.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. I can create a file libffi.so.5 link to libffi.so.6 for a time. What packages did I miss? Could any body please give me some advice? |
Slackware has never shipped libffi.so.5 in any official packages, so the problem is peculiar to your system.
You have something (or some things) linked to that library, but it's not present. Figure out what those things are and replace them with the official packages and/or rebuild them. |
I just recompiled the Gtk+2, then everything works well.
Thank you. |
