problem with cups
 

so i'm trying to set up my printer through kde printing manager using cups but when i try to i get this error message

Unable to retrieve the printer list. Error message received from manager:
Connection to CUPS server failed. Check that the CUPS server is correctly installed and running. Error: connection refused.

anyone?

remove lprng and cups, re-install cups, enable the cups server

chmod +x /etc/rc.d/rc.cups

then try again.
