what can i do so solve this ?

If your distro is using udev, you probably need to add your user account to the group that is allowed to mount drives.

The solution is described in the top stickied thread in our Slackware forum - see the first post of that thread which details what you need to do: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...d.php?t=566862

i cant understand what i need to do in post 1 ... i just read a explanation

Add your user to the plugdev group, and maybe also to the cdrom group...

BCarey 09-18-2007 11:15 AM

You need to edit the file /etc/group (root user privileges are required to do this).
Find the lines that start with "cdrom" and "plugdev". Add your ordinary user name to then end of each line and save it. Then logout and log in again.

Please don't use root. Create yourself a non-privileged user.
Did you log out and back in again?
Please take the time to read through the HAL sticky as it addresses your issues. If you have trouble understanding something in there, then post your question.

i restarted rc.messagebus ... wont give me that error now , but no automount

BCarey 09-18-2007 10:08 PM

Bopi,

If you want to use Slackware you are going to need to do some reading. My posts were merely repeating what was clearly stated in the post that AlienBob pointed you to

Quote:

When the messagebus service is started, it reads the content of /etc/group and then determines whether users have rights to mount removable devices based on that. This is why the 'reload' option was added to /etc/rc.d/rc.messagebus, as you need to make it aware of any changes to /etc/group if you happen to edit that file to add users to plugdev, cdrom, power, or video groups while dbus is running.
So please re-read the thread, which does address your questions, and ask specific questions/clarifications based on what you have read. You will find that if you make the effort to understand you will get much more help on this forum, but the forum should not be used to re-pose questions and avoid reading the documentation/information already available.

Brian
