Problem while installing Slackware on IBM Thinkpad T43
I have just bought a IBM Thinkpad T43(add RAM to 1G). I want to install Slackware 10.2 on it, and i got the following questions:
1. This is a old question: How large the swap partition do I need to suit the 1G Ram? Some guy told me that in order to support sleep in Gnome and suspend2 function, a large swap partition should be needed. So if you know the EXACT answer, please tell me.
2. If I boot computer with Slackware 10.2 disk, is the "test26.s" capable of recognizing my SATA disk? Some guys say YES, but i am not sure. Because those guys are using a PURE SATA, while T43 not. According to IBM official Website, T43 is using a PATA disk, accompanying a PATA-to-SATA bridge.
