I'm running Slackware 12, and KDE. I sue KMail for emails. I can receive emails fine. However, when I compose or reply and then try to send, the email just sits there in the outbox and refuses to send, with no error messages. I've checked my account settings and they seem all right. Has anyone come across this or can suggest what may be the problem.

Hi, are you using a firewall? If so, make sure the correct port is open on it to allow the messages to be sent. I had the same problem when I first setup my firewall, I could receive messages but not send.
