problem playing frozen-bubbles

Hello,

I installed frozen-bubbles from slackbuilds.
When I want to play it, I get this message:

Can't locate Locale/gettext.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.10.0/i486-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0/i486-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0/i486-linux-thread-multi /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.10.0 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl .) at /usr/bin/frozen-bubble line 52.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/bin/frozen-bubble line 52.

I have perl 5 installed on this system.

What do I have to do now ?

Perl module

http://search.cpan.org/~pvandry/gettext-1.05/gettext.pm

Need to install that missing (not yet onboard) Perl module:

root@P5Q:~# cpan2tgz Locale::gettext

<snipped>

root@P5Q:~# installpkg the_pkg_that_cpan2tgz_created_4_you

$ frozen-bubble

bye. Alan.

This game requires SDL_perl, SDL_Pango, and locale-gettext, all
of which are also available at http://slackbuilds.org/
Hope this helps.

EDIT I just built and installed all three dependencies with slackware.com's SlackBuilds and it works here. No need for cpan2tgz (though I store the idea for an other occasion)

I should have quantified that if not all of the dependencies have been installed then

after installing that one (missing) Perl module then there could be the same error again but on a different missing Perl module.

IOW you could chain through too many, one of them (Perl module) at a time like that and still not get it right.

The posted error was due to it could not find the one Perl module.

Yes, best to make sure all required dependencies be onboard.

I tinker with Perl. cpan2tgz has been great for me. slackbuilds.org have many slackbuilds for Perl modules as well.

cpan2tgz is a wrapper around cpan.pm

IOW the former there controls, calls, uses, steers the latter there but intercepts so as to achieve installable Slackware packages.

Alan.

Hello,

Everybody thanks.
I don't have installed locale-gettext.
Now everything works great.
