problem compiling TigerVNC

Hi all

I need to compile TigerVNC with a little patch (needed to accept connections from UVNC SC - this one )

I've tried downloading the entire folder from here , the xorg-server source, applied the patch manually, then ran the slackbuild

I tried with both tigervnc 1.7 and 1.8

I get this error with both of them:

Code:
libtool: link: ar cru .libs/libconfig.a .libs/config.o
libtool: link: ranlib .libs/libconfig.a
libtool: link: ( cd ".libs" && rm -f "libconfig.la" && ln -s "../libconfig.la" "libconfig.la" )

make: *** No rule to make target 'install'. Stop.

Do can anyone help me to understand how to fix?

Kind regards

hi Alessandro,
you are trying to build tigervnc in current against the new X.org 1.20 and that won't work without additional patches.
I prepared a testing SlackBuild, based off the one in /extra, where I:
- rebased the main X patch against the newer x.org sources;
- added another from fedora that applies to tigervnc;
- included the hack you refer to.
you can find it here.

Thank you so much!!! Sorry I totally forgot to say that I was trying on current!

It worked good, tigervnc compiled fine. This evening I'll try to see if the hack really works with UVNC SC

Kind regards
