Printing registers with gdb: "No registers" is all I get.

Slackware 14.0

Hi: this is just an assembly program, not a C one. I have read some of the tems in info gdb and googled a lot. But can you tell me how I get the four classical x86 registers at any point while debugging? I can tell you print is the command.

You can set breakpoints at start of the instructions. And then view registers. Get the instruction start points from assembly list file.

Here is a nice tutorial on gdb.
