Printer setup in Freerock
It seems there is no interface for setting up printing in Freerock. Is this correct? Should I simply set up CUPS manually?

CUPS has a browser based configuration, which is all you need to define and setup your printers. Not everything can be configured there.
Things like secure access (https) and protection with login dialogs, and stuff like browsing for (and announcing of) CUPS network service must be edited it the configuration file /etc/cups/cupsd.conf . Luckily, the configuration parameters in this file are heavily commented. Eric |
I use FreeRock and under the Applications --> System Tools --> Gnome CUPS Manager.

Odd - I don't have that one?
Anyway, I used the basic browser-based setup, which I have done before and which is not a problem. I just wondered why I couldn't find a native GUI. |
