does anyone know of the print utility for slackware?
I"m working with fluxbox, so i would need the command line execution so that i can place it into my menu.
if anyone can point me into the correct direction it would be appreciated.
cups is another option you can use ... just make sure rc.cups is started and then connect to your printer in your web browser by putting this in the address line.
thanx for this printer setup notes. Just installed current rc1 three days ago and installed cups, started the daemon, and thru mozilla setup the printer and did the test page which worked great. but printing from web never got printed page. read some of the messages and the slackware manual. tried uninstalling lprng and leaving cups alone. no printing yet. Used swaret to remove cups and reinstalled it. Started cups daemon and did the chmod a+w step before doing the printer install at localhost:613. Clicked mozilla print icon after changing page and voila printing. again thanx
