Possible Bug with the RTC Wake Alarm in the 2.6.27.x Kernels
 

Mods: I do not intend this to be a cross-post. Feel free to lock the thread, but I think Slackers should know about this problem because many people do not follow all forums. :)

In another thread I posted my observation that the RTC wake alarm does not recognize the year 2010. I have tested this on Slackware 12.2 with the 2.6.27.7, 2.6.27.31, and 2.6.30.5 kernels; and on 13.0 using the 2.6.29.6 and 2.6.30.5 kernels.

I can set a 2010 wake up alarm with the 2.6.29.6 and 2.6.30.5 kernels but not the 2.6.27.x kernels.

If you would like to confirm this bug --- or my insanity or incompetance, :D please participate in the referenced thread. I believe this to be a kernel problem and not Slackware specific. This could become a nuisance for some Slackers.
