popa3d help!!!

I have recently allowed popa3d to start at boot, but with my php webmail script, i can send mails using postfix, but when I want to receive, nothing happens, I get no emails. Is their a way im suppose to set up popa3d?

In the webmail admin center, it gives me these options for pop3

Code:
Enable POP3 gateway
Enable or disable the POP3 gateway. If you have the Pipe gateway installed, you should leave this turned off. Otherwise, turn it on. Yes No
Using cron job script?
If you are using the cron script, set this to Yes. If this is set to Yes, email will not be checked from within the program but only using the cron job script.
Note: You need to set up the script yourself, this is not automatic! Yes No
Mail server
The server that holds the POP3 account. If you are not sure what the mail server is, contact your host and ask them
Server port
The port that's used to connect to the mail server above, usually this is 110.
Username
The username that is used to log on to the mail server and connect to the POP3 account.
Password
The password that is used to log on to the mail server and connect to the POP3 account.
Check the account every:
The frequency for checking the POP3 account for messages, in minutes.
Set this to 0 to check the account whenever a user visits the system (not advisable).
Leave messages on mailbox
If this is set to yes, messages will be left on the server even after HiveMail downloads them. We do not recommended that enable this option! Yes No
Maximum messages to process
This is the maximum number of messages that are processed every time a connection is made to the mailbox.
Maximum size of processed messages
The maximum accumulated size of all messages that are proccesed per session, in megabytes. Please note that if one message alone is larger than this limit, it will still be processed alone but only after all other messages are. Set this to 0 to have messages processed in the order of their arrival without any size limits.

Thanks, josh.

Well first a really obvious question is... Have you set those options listed above and checked your mail? Also have you set-up something like getmail/fetchmail to retrieve mail from other mail mail servers that will be stored locally by pop and servered to you?? Have you properly configured DNS, sendmail, hosts files as to properly send and receive mail for your "domain"???
Have you recieved any mail in the user mail queue that popa3d can serve out?

popa3d does not "get" the mail for you it only servers mail addressed to a specific users from the users mail queue. It is other MTAs that "puts" mail in the users mail queue, i.e. sendmail, getmail, fetchmail. And other MTAs "gets" mail for popa3d i.e. pine, elm, mozilla -mail, evo

man popa3d

All most all of the configuration files are located in the /etc directory and sub directories there of.

For the best amount of help possible
file:///usr/doc/Linux-HOWTOs
IF you installed the HOWTOs....

A default slack install usually installs getmail and fetchmail either one will "pull" mail from other pop servers where you may recieve mail down to your server. Fetchmail is the easiest to configure (man fetchmail) for details.
Recieveing mail from the web requires that you have a "findable" ip from the web. Either by using a static IP of a dyndns service. It may also require you have "forwarders" in the public domain (my way, w/200 "public" addys).

A simple way to test your setup is to mail yourself. (user@yourcpu.yourdomain.yourint)

Once you have something in your mail queue and popa3d running you configure a MTA just as you would if you where say accessing your ISPs pop server.
Point the MTA to your server, put in your user name and pass, standard port 110 applies unless you go ssl.
