PolicyKit problem
Hi,
after an upgrade (slackware current 64) a have a big problem – the automount of flash drives does not work anymore. The error message is as follow “An error occurred while accessing ‘Kodak’, the system responded: The requested operation has failed: Error checking authorization: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.PolicyKit1.Error.Failed: Action org.freedesktop.udisks2.filesystem-mount is not registered (polkit-error-quark, 0)” I reinstalled polkit-*, but no effect. I'll be very grateful for any ideas. |
Welcome to this Slackware forum on LQ.
Which desktop are you using when inserting the flash drive? And is a file manager started? |
KDE
I use KDE, but the same problem exists with XFCE also. No matter if the file browser is open or not.

What system were you running prior to your upgrade?
Was it a relatively small upgrade because you were already running slackware64-current? Or did you upgrade from a stable release (14.2 or even 14.1) to -current? |
