Please take a look of this question. PLEASE~~~

I installed my slackware 10.0 on my box. Everything seems to be alright and I configured basic configuration. However, slackware is not like red hat which has many writers like to write manual books for its configuration and packageds. I wonder if I can find any document for how to set up different servers and play with different packages on slackware. I am really curious about what else I can configure my slackware box and what else I can do and learn with my slackware. If there isn't really much documentation on slackware, I guess I might change to fedora 2 later on. Do you guys think fedora 2 is a good distribution. I want to switch to fedora because I can find a lot books on that distribtuion inside bookstores around my house. I am becoming a bit tired with slackware because whenever I need to setup something I have a difficult time to find instructions for newbies. I really want to learn as much textmode linux as possible. I am really fascinated with textmode linux. Hopefully Fedora 2 is a bit better.

man pages are always there.
Slackware is also known to have the more documented config files, so looking at them also helps.
Oh and if i want to configure something i usually go to the software's homepage.

IMHO, I would never recommend Fedora. I'm shuddering at the thought. *shudder*

Besides the Slack Book available on slackware.org There is the SlackFAQ http://linuxtipps.sourceforge.net/index.php

And here is a long list of Documents
http://www.linuxpackages.net/howto.php

You can also get a some good info from the links in my sig.

install the docs

slackware 10 comes with a handy collection of linux HOWTO's and FAQ's. IF you installed them they will be in /usr/doc/Linux-FAQs and /usr/doc/Linux-HOWTOs

They contain a wealth of information and are well worth a

try typing
Code:
less /usr/doc/Linux-FAQs/BLFAQ
