pcmcia


i have some problems with slackware 10.2 with 2.4 kernel that comes with it at shutdown i get a kernel panick then i instald a new acpcid pack and recompiled the kernel and still hapends.
then i tryed to put the 2.6 kernel with works welll but the pcmcia does not
wen i activate some pcmcia card system crashes.
i have read and i have seen that i have to install the pcmciautils and i tried to compile-it and
folowd the confuising steps and sitll happends....
can any one help-me some way.

You need to compile your kernel w/pcmcia options enabled.

Look at this excellent thread on how-to compile your kernel
