PCI warning new kernel

I'm using Slackware 10.1. I recently upgraded to kernel 2.6.10 from the second installation disk. Now I'm getting the following warning while booting up,

Code:

PCI: Using ACPI for IRQ routing
*** PCI interrupts are no longer routed automatically.  If this
*** causes a device to stop working,it is probably because the
*** driver failed to call pci_enable_device().  As a temporary
*** workaround, the "pci=routeirq" argument restores the old
*** behavior.  If this argument makes the device work again,
*** please email the output of "lspci" to bjorn.helgaas@hp.com
*** so I can fix the driver.

What does this mean?? How do I resolve this??

I have the same message and have found no problems related to this, i.e. all PCI devices are working.
So if all your PCI devices work, don't worry. If one doesn't work, try what the message says.

No PCI devices here

I do not have any PCI device. I just wanted to know the details about the message.

What change in the kernel 2.6 causes this??

This "error" is really a warning. If you have some PCI devices running drivers that haven't been maintained properly, the PCI routing may not work properly and you may have to use the workaround specified in the error message. Unless your kernel crashes at that point or you have non-working PCI devices that used to work before, there is no action that you need to take.

There is nothing to resolve if you don't have PCI-related problems. Just ignore the message.

Then you don't have anything to worry about.

From the error message: "PCI interrupts are no longer routed automatically. "
