patches/packages/linux-2.6.29.6-3/ needed if I run a more recent kernel?


Since I run 2.6.32, I guess that I don't have to patch my system with the above mentioned patch?

You don't need them if 2.6.32 contains those patches (it was released very recently, so it probably does). Of course, even if not, the patch files may not work with 2.6.32, so you should get the new sources in that case.
