pata_via feedback?
 

Hi!

Has anyone tried the new libata pata drivers? Especially the Via ones?
I'm getting both slower performance (no comparsions sorry), more swapping, and being unable to set the DMA equivalents in sdparm for my 2 DVD drives.

I'd appreciate some feedback from you folks...

Have you tried 2.6.20 yet - I noticed quite a few quirk fixes going into pata_via (I haven't had a chance to test pata_via myself yet, since I haven't been near my machine that has that chipset for a few weeks).

Yes, I did. I also checked the changelogs since the rc releases, but nothing which could have effect on my issue.
