Sup everyone. I'm trying to get Party Poker to run under Slackware Linux 10.2 using Wine 0.9.9 but unfortunetely the Client seems to freeze up after it loads up. I'm unable to enter my account information and log in due to this reason. Has anyone here been able to successfully get Party Poker (partypoker.com) running in Slackware via Wine? If so please tell me how it was done - I highly appreciate it! Or better yet if you have some free time would you mind trying to get it running in Slackware via Wine and tell me if the client also freezes up after it loads? If it doesn't then the problem isn't Wine or Party Poker if it does then I don't know what to say. Anyway thanks for all the responses - and special thanks to those who actually try and get Party Poker to run on their Slackware Linux Box.
Did you try the howto here: http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=2133
Been quite sometime since I tried to install PartyPoker, but this seems like it will be your best bet to get it to work. If it won't work, you could always try PokerStars (with wine) or Celebrity Poker Showdown (uses flash). Tried most of the hold'em sites a few times and these two seemed to work the best. There might be more that work now but I havn't looked in awhile.
