It came to my attention that Pale Moon would not compile on Slackware current using gcclegacy494.SlackBuild (gcc 4.9.4) that I maintain at SlackBuilds.org. I'm not 100% happy with the state of the "fix" and its for that reason I'm just posting about it here and on that blog entry. I'm still looking for a cleaner way to fix this issue. You likely will understand what I mean if you take a look at the blog post. But the good news is, for anyone wanting to build Pale Moon with gcc 4.9.4 on Slackware current, there is at least a way to do it.

An alternative for some (myself being one) is to just download the Pale Moon binary and run from /opt. Works fine on my Slack 14.1. I can't speak for 14.2, though.

Found a better fix and applied a conditional fix for glibc 2.26. I submitted changes to SBo.
