Great news!! I really like Basilisk and hope it's around for years to come! I wish I was a programmer of some sort so I could help out...or heck, even had enough smarts to do *anything* to help out.
(Packages in the stable directory, are targeted / compiled against, the latest stable release of Slackware)
When I downloaded and then tried to build with these two things, I get this:
Code:
root@Piss_on_Biden:/home/me/builds/palemoon# ./palemoon.SlackBuild
tar: /home/me/builds/palemoon/autoconf-2.13.tar.xz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
Am I also supposed to download a tarball of that old autoconf and put it in this directory, and if so, from where?
Edit 2: the package is not the source, its a pre made package, the SlackBuild is like your typical SlackBuild, the download for the sources is in the .info.

I don't actually recommend upgrading (downgrading) to the 29.4.5 from the 30 series unless you REALLY think you have a good reason too. Most likely, it will be fine, but there is a good chance of profile corruption of some kind (if you "upgrade" from the 30 series back to the 29 series).

A little clarification from the leader of the project.

......If you have been updated to Pale Moon 30.0.1 over the weekend or last Monday, and are not experiencing any difficulties in your browsing, then you should be fine to stay on that version until 30.1.0 comes out later. Please do note there are known issues that will not be addressed soon.....

FWIW, for the last several days I've been bouncing between Basilisk and Pale Moon-30.0.1, and have decided to stick with Basilisk until the Pale Moon developers work things out.

Vivaldi has been my default browser for some time, with Palemoon/Basilisk aas a second choice that also allows me access to a few handy add-ons. I too have chosen Basilisk over Palemoon right now and I do hope that khronosschoty can find the time and strength to keep Basilisk alive in the future.
Unofficial basilisk update. This is build basically includes the same "Changes/fixes" that Pale Moon 29.4.5 received. As far as I can tell, none of the "Changes/fixes" found in Pale Moon 29.4.5 were application changes, only platform. Pale Moon 29.4.5 and basilisk are built from the same platform tree.
I have to say I'm rather enjoying basilisk. My browser habits have changed a lot, and the things I preferred about Pale Moon over Basilisk, while are still my preferences, have become in part irrelevant -- I stopped caring about how things look, I keep pretty much all the UI hidden away and use Vimperator on basilisk.
