Page Fault in Nonpaged Area

After I tried to install Linux with a new kernel I turned off my computer and I started it again and I got the BSOD with the following message: Page_Fault_in_Nonpaged_Area. I called Compaq Support and they told me that it is bad ram, but, my computer is new and I don't think it is memory RAM. I also got a message saying IRQL_not_less_or_equal. What's the problem with my computer?
