Question Package Update Requests (bash)

How would one go about asking the Slackware maintainers to update a package in current (eg. bash 3.2 vs. bash 3.1.17(2))?

bash 4.0.024 is in /testing 32-bit version 64-bit version. These might help, but as they are in testing they may cause some problems with some scripts.
