I just notice that I can't install nVidia drivers on 2.4.X and that is a big priority for me to have Nvidia grapics installed.

Why is that? I am running the nvidia drivers on the stock 2.4.x kernel. And if for some reason you need the 2.6 kernel. Pat supplies one in /testing. Just follow his directions closely.
