Rep: Reputation: 18 and apsfilter printing

Is there any way to print using the tools in apsfilter? Is this program only compatible with CUPS?
I am using Slackware 9.0 and an epson 440 stylus color which works well under virtually every circumstance except for OOo. Does anybody know hoe I can run this program under Slackware...and print? My main problem seems to be that during the program, the file in question is in XML but after it has been saved, it is in written as "compressed XML (i.e. .sxw). I can't think of a filter that will convert this to PostScript.
I thank you all for your responses.

If you are using KDE then you can specify that OpenOffice use KPrinter and it should work just fine.
