OOo-2.4.1 package

If anyone is interested, I've just bundled OOo-2.4.1 up as a Slackware package.

If you d/l and install it, please let me know how it works on your box. No problems here on mine.

The OOo SlackBuilds work really well and are fast to create your own custom package. I've been using just the main slackBuild (not the language packs) for quite some time.
